

Adult Residential Drug & Alcohol Treatment Services The Adult Residential Program is a 20-bed residential treatment facility designed to provide treatment to men and women suffering from the disease of addiction. The Adult Residential Program is designed to be 28 days, however, individuals needs are assessed and the length of stay may be adjusted accordingly. Group Counseling in the Adult Residential Program consists of up to 40 sessions. Gender mixed core groups of 8-10 clients meet each day. Gender specific groups are incorporated into the treatment regimen to allow clients the opportunity to discuss topics that are difficult to address in a mixed gender setting. Individual sessions are provided, as necessary, for clients who require help and support overcoming the fear of group participation. Individual sessions are kept to a minimum but are useful in helping plan a client’s individual course of treatment and generating support for the client’s decision making process. Adult Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient The Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP) is the highest level of Outpatient treatment provided by McLeod Center. McLeod Center’s Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP) combines topical group lectures with intensive group counseling, individual counseling, family counseling, and life skills programming. The program utilizes the Living in Balance and Matrix Model of treatment to educate clients about the disease of addiction through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Interventions and treatment support activities geared toward recovery. Clients are encouraged to maintain abstinence from all drugs and alcohol while in the SAIOP program. Clients can expect to be randomly drug tested for their use of these substances while in treatment in order to monitor progress and insure they are enrolled in the appropriate level of care. SAIOP would best suit someone who had unsuccessful attempts at sobriety at lower levels of care, an extensive drug history or a criminal history with repeated drug and alcohol offenses. Treatment is offered in the form of 3 hour group therapy sessions 3 days per week. The length of treatment varies based on the needs of the client Adult SAIOP Programming Includes
