Responding to each individual according to his or her unique need continues to be the means. Those thousands of persons living their lives free of alcohol and drugs, one day at a time, continues to be the inspiration. The result is a place where people find acceptance, respect, safety and love. At McLeod Center, the staff recognizes the courage it takes to ask for help, the physical and emotional pain of withdrawal, and the anxiety of letting go of habits. Because of this, the number one philosophy at McLeod Center is Respect. Respect for the client, respect for the staff and respect for the human being suffering from a terrifying and debilitating disease. For more than three decades, people have come to McLeod Center and have been treated with respect and concern. They have been given the opportunity to get well. Second only to quality care, McLeod Center is distinguished by a belief that cost of treatment must not stand as a major barrier to care. Accordingly, charges are planned to be fair and inviting. McLeod Center treats alcohol and drug problems---but the real business is people.
