Text Box: Adult Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient

The Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP) is the highest level of Outpatient treatment provided by McLeod Center. With a greater emphasis on Community Support and the reintegration into a safe, law-abiding and addiction-free lifestyle, the SAIOP would greatly benefit someone with an extensive drug history or repeated drug/alcohol offenses. In a similar fashion, the SAIOP would also benefit a client who for any reason is unsuccessful at the Matrix Outpatient Program level.

The foundation of McLeod Center’s Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program is group therapy. The Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program combines topical group lectures with intensive group, individual counseling, family counseling, and life skills programming. Community Support is also included in this level of treatment, and a Community Support Specialist may be assigned to assist the person in the reintegration into society.
