Text Box: Matrix Outpatient Treatment

By providing a calm and respectful setting for treatment, clients will formulate a genuine commitment to change to a life of sobriety. Clients participate in the treatment planning and work one-on-one with counselors to identify their goals. To better serve clients, McLeod Center’s Outpatient Program is divided into two distinct levels of treatment: the Matrix Outpatient Program and Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP).
The Matrix Outpatient Program is designed for clients with a limited history of substance use. This may include first time drug offenders and DWI offenders who have been referred by the DWI Court system. Programming is based on educating clients on the disease of addiction with a focus on substance abuse. Using cognitive behavioral strategies, McLeod Center helps clients gain control of the cycle of addiction by focusing on the consequences of drug use and the rewards of a drug-free lifestyle.
