Text Box: Treatment Alternatives to Street Crimes

Treatment Alternatives to Street Crimes, or TASC, is an alternative to incarceration for alcohol and/or drug involved offenders. It is a bridge between the criminal justice system and the substance abuse treatment community. Under TASC supervision, community-based treatment is made available to drug-dependant offenders to permanently interrupt the cycle of criminal behavior due to addiction.

A TASC Court Liaison will facilitate communication between the legal and treatment systems, and will monitor the client’s progress and report that progress to the courts as necessary.

Case Management for High-Risk Offenders

This program begins with a clinical assessment of an offender’s substance abuse or mental health needs. The offender is matched with the appropriate treatment program dependent on the most appropriate level of care and intensity. Referrals are made to the appropriate service providers. Case management services provide continuous monitoring, including random drug screens.
Fee: $120.00

Phone Lab

This program offers case management services for a 60-day monitoring period and a series of three random urine screens for which the client must show up.
Fee: $100.00

TASC Assessments
Monday , Tuesday and Wednesday
8:30 am to 12 pm.
No appointment is necessary.

Anyone is eligible for the TASC program if they have a legal charge, a substance abuse problem and are willing to participate.
