Marijuana is the most common form of Cannabis, a drug that is made up of the dried leaves of the Cannabis Sativa plant.  It can be eaten or smoked and is the most commonly used illegal drug in the USA.   Marijuana is a Schedule VI offence in North Carolina, meaning it is illegal to buy, distribute, possess or cultivate.  Studies have shown that users who smoke Marijuana to be up to 25% more susceptible to heart attacks than non-smokers, as well as lower white blood cell counts and weaker immune systems.
