Administers nursing care in the Adult Residential and medical detox treatment programs. Monitors, assesses, evaluates and reports changes in patient symptoms or behavior. Communicates with collaborating physicians and/or specialists regarding patient care. Educates patients about health maintenance and disease prevention. Facilitates referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities. Maintains accurate patient medical records. Provides advice and emotional support to patients and their family members.  Will be the first point of contact for nursing staff to pass information as necessary to the medical director. Designated as “critical personnel” therefore must report to work in inclement weather circumstances. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Training, Knowledge, Abilities and Skills Required:

Licensed RN by the North Carolina Board of Nursing or this license has multistate practice privileges by authority of the Nurse Licensure Compact.
